MELE - MIXPAK / GRIZZLY / SOUNDS OF SUMO/ UK

Hailing from Merseyside, Melé, also known as Krissy Peers is arguably on the forefront of extremely young and talented producers bursting their way onto the scene at the moment. His quick rise to fame boils down to how varied his production style and DJ-sets are encompassing a whole host of genres ranging from dubstep, garage, grime, UK funky, and house, flawlessly mixing between them without at any time sounding overdone, something that isn’t easy accomplished.

2009 saw him have a big year with a debut EP released on Sound of Sumo and his tracks supported and charted by the likes of Brodinski, Sinden, toddla t, lvis 1990 and Hervé to name a few. He continues to shine through in 2010 with two new EP’s out on Mixpak Records and soon on Sinden’s new label Grizzly. As for remixes he’s pulled out all the stops and recently finished two versions of Project Bassline’s new trackTwelfth Step for Herve’s label Cheap Thrills, a remix of New Young Pony Club’s Chaos and a remix for Eliza Doolittle’s Skinny Jeans.

WAFA - GRIZZLY/UK

"Originally hailing from Norwich, reborn in a dingy studio in West London Wafa plays drums in the dark hours and makes wonky bangers for kids to dance to. Influenced by sony playstation, pink wafers, V-Drums, and Toddla T’s DJ sets and mentored by underground heroes Landslide and Seiji, Wafa has spent the last year honing his unique turbo sound.

Having met Sinden when they both DJ’d at Basement Jaxx’s Inside Out parties in Brixton he sent him some tracks for feedback and was instantly signed up to make an EP for Sinden’s new “Grizzley” imprint. The lead track “Ewid Disco” (described by Sinden as “some kind of bastard italo track with crazy Super Mario Brothers bass lines” has been picked up by Crookers (for their recent Mixmag Covermount CD) used by Brondinski in his recent Mystery Mix.

The fidgety B Side “Pop Up” has also had props from Gilles Peterson and SBTRCT. He has recently remixed Maelstrom & Redux "Wide Open" for Katorza Records. Wafa’s next project is to take his live V-Drum beats up to the platform"
